About Me
Hey,
My name is Lean...yup you read that correctly. Don't worry if you don't know how to pronounce my name, let me help you out. I always tell people to pronounce it the same way you would say you are going to "lay on" a bed, I hope that helps.
I grew up in a super small farming community in western New York where we had more cows than people. I discovered my love for video games at a very young age, the oldest memory I have is playing Kung Fu and Duck Hunt on the NES with my dad. Soccer is another love I still have to this day and play whenever I can.
Surprisingly I didn't really think about becoming a video game developer until the end of my sophomore year at the University of Rochester. I was so passionate about my new found desire that I changed my major from Ecology & Evolutionary Biology to Digital Media Studies (the closest thing my school had to video game design). After 2 jam-packed years, I was able to get my degree and get accepted into SMU: Guildhall for Level Design.
SMU: Guildhall is where I discovered my how much I really love working on video games. I absolutely love working on multi-disciplinary teams, some of my favorite memories while working on a game is being able to talk to artists, level designers, and programmers about how they want to move forward with integrating new features and designs.
